Capital One

Capital One is a $10 billion publicly held international financial services company, headquartered in Falls Church, Virginia. CBI developed a customized three-day "Negotiation & Influencing Skills" curriculum for Capital One's senior executives and mid-level management. The program included an overall framework for negotiation; a series of cases drawn from Capital One operations; a set of tailored simulations; and videos highlighting examples of good and bad negotiation practices. The program was presented more than twenty times to varied audiences within the organization. A one-day “Advanced Level Negotiation” program was presented to selected audiences two months later to provide both additional skills training and to assess participants’ success in applying the new skills to their real-world negotiations.
